Light and Shadow

First-grade students had the opportunity to explore the work of the Brazilian artist Regina Silveira, known for her distorted and disproportionate shadows created from original objects. Inspired by her works, the children used flashlights to illuminate various objects, creating unique shadows that were recorded on paper. During this process, the lights in the room went out, and we were left with only the beams of light from our little artists, who discovered new forms and representations!
